« on: November 23, 2008, 08:46:22 AM »
??? ???I have installed surfcam since I want to do in an easy way the conversion from a drawing to mach3 and newfangled wizards which I boughta year ago.
I think surfcam is very easy to understand but ............
How do i get the postprocessed data into mach 3 importde.
I have seen here on the forum some conversion files?? but how I could convert it by a non executable file??

Please if anyone can help me thanks a lot.

go into Mach3 and load a g-code file, set the filter to any file and pick your g-code file from the list

Thank you!
So it van be done in the notepad which I use in this case.
Are there some things I have to remeber when I make a drawing using surfcam because some drawing aides, whcih are used in the different programs, can not be understand by mach3?
Or are they using Gcodes which are not implemented in Mach3 so that starnge effects can occur to my machine?

Kind regards,
Andre

If you select a Fanuc 6 or 11 post processor then to code that Surfcam outputs should be compatible with Mach3.

Or

If you look in the downloads drop down at the top of the forum and go to cam processors there is a SurfCAM post for Mach3 there.

The post processing of the NCC file for a Fanuc machine I understand but what to do with the .p01 file which is posted in the forum?
Opened as a text file there is a row of figures??

Kind regards,

You should be able to drop it into the surfcam posts directory and then use it to output g-code.

I have never used Surfcam so I can not help you any more than that.
