Ports and Pins then Motor Config will be where you set up the port and pin for the A axis and then obviously Motor Tuning to set the Steps per unit, the acell and Velocity. If you need to reverse you can either change the Dir active state for that motor or you can go to Config menu then Homing and Limits and reverse the axis there.

Yes each axis has its own options in Ports and Pins/Motor Config and once you enable one of these axis then you can tune it in motor tuning.

Right I will have a look later in my room and see if it all ties in I know how to tune in a standard 3 axis machine as I have a Seig X3 it was just this synchronized motors for the Gantry that had me flumoxed

Not sure how Ali is getting on with the Emco, not been there for a while although he was at my workshop a few months ago when he kindly gave me a very nice stainless steel keyboard and trackball which I will fit to the lathe.
 The CNC machines I have are a Bridgeport, a Churchill Computurn 290 and am presently doing a Beaver Mill.
