Gecko G100 spindle pulse signal

Reading some other threads, it seems there are some problems with the G100 and setting up a spindle pulse signal for threading. Is this still the case?

I dont think the G100 does threading, I also dont think  there will be any more done to it as I think the guy that was doing the firmware has disapeared so no more development on the Rex :(

It would seem the G100 been abandoned in many ways. Is it to complex? To many bugs to iron out?
I have one and it works fine in regards to basic inputs and outputs and driving motors [at the moment]. Are there many people successfully using them on a day to day basis? Will the new generation “quantum” be of any help to G100 users?

The G100 was a good and revolutionary idea at the time, but since then many advances have been made on many fronts making it a less than desirable piece of hardware to use with Mach. Development of the G100 as far as Mach is concerned has been dropped on all fronts. It is what it will allways be as far as Mach is concerned. Some will get all they want out of the G100 but those who don't should look for other hardware.

Thank you Hood and Caoticone for you input.

So whats the latest and greatest motion controller that is better supported by Mach3 and possibly Quantum futher down the track?
