Motor movement on tuning and jogging
« on: July 28, 2008, 09:31:25 PM »
Trying to run Mach3 with HobbyCNC driver, Kollmorgen PJT55 Steppers.  Do not have the manufacturers docs for motor wiring, but thought I had it figured out.  Motors locked up tight after power up, Mach3 setup went well, was able to spin the motors with the motor tuning (with inconsistent direction from either arrow key).  After config, tried jogging motors and got the same result.  When pressing X+, the motor begins spinning in the + direction.  If the X+ key is pressed again, the direction may or may not change on the motor.  Could this be a motor wiring issue?  Config Issue?  Power issue?
any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Bill,

I sent you a link on the other forum, check it out or contact me. It has to be out of phase windings.
