Thanks Chip

I can see that I must look better to the most little thinks.
On the place where the second screenshot was taken I saw in Lazycam A stop off the chain bud I could not see why.
Bud now when I zoom in deeper I can see the break.
I will fight A bit more with the file to see what is more wrong.
I am curious to see if you can make A pretty offset on the wing.

Willem

Yes, I did not clean it first and today I tried to do an offset with your dxf and no luck at all. I tried Chip's as well and it came out a lot better so try his dxf with the offset-

Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

Hi Dave

Thanks for reply.
I was thinking Chip had try the Tail bud it was you, sorry my mistake.
At the end i manage to make A resable file with offsets bud I hate it when I don't know watt is wrong in A drawing.
In the file of chip I could not make an offset of the wing although it was in one click selected as A chain.
never the less it would be easy if I could move an entity from one chain to another (that is what started this tread) and it also would be suitable if there is A possibility if chains , entities and layers could be locket so they Will not be rearranged in A cleanup or optimize command.

Greetings and thanks:
Willem

Hi, Willem

I worked on it some more, Hears an .LCAM file with everything but the right wing offset.

Load it and set your depth of cut and post, Will look at it later, Found some more unwanted lines.

Also a Tap file with no depth of cut.

Thanks Chip

Looks good, I did also take A better look at the drawing and found A lot of rubbish (double lines etc.).
I had take the drawing from the internet (somewhere in in the cnczone group) and modified it A bit bud somehow deleted lines did remain in the drawing.
Now I think it is usable'

Hears a g-code file done with BobCad v22 cut depth -2.0, Tail feathers mouth & eyes  -.5, Rapids .1 & .5, F speed's .7487.

May need to change some of them.

Hi, Willem

It would offset with a .5 tool, But not the 1.0 one, There are still some quarks in LCam.

The left wing quit offsetting hear now also, I guess sometimes you can't "Wing It".

BobCad even missed one feather cut, Had to edit it in.

Hi all

Now A am getting really frustrated.
Thanks Chip for the cleanup files bud of course I also made my own files to see and learn from all yours and others input.
I made A dxf that is respectable (removed allmost all splines and changed in to arcs , loaded in Lazycam , rearranged all paths to cut in the wanted order , rearranged all chains in A few layers , made offset on all items and I may say it went perfect including the right wing.
So far so good bud A man has to sleep sumtimes , so saved my work (did that of course also in between), went to sleep , wake up , go to work , come home and with good faith start to edit again to make the cutdephts and the tabs.

To make A short story long , I opened the lcam file and found out that in the layer ONDIEP all the entities and chains are gone except one chain and one entitie.
If I enable the layer (on the picture ONDIEP) all entities are shown in the drawing bud not in the list and I can set the depth of cut so i think I rescue my project bud that's all I can do with it.
This is real frustrating.

I have the lcam file included.
I also included the tap file I made.
If you run the tap file you see also one of the reasons why I want to move entities to another chain.
It cuts to one mm in more steps bud now each entitie is cut at a time and not as A chain what take Allot of time moving up and down.

Willem
