2.5" as a G0 move or measured? Ditto 39.985? What is your leadscrew pitch? I think you need to go right through the machine configuration checking everything, especially steps/unit given your screw pitch and any reduction between motor and screw, and the microstep setting on the drivers. Read and understand the manual. Make sure you don't have a scaling factor configured.
