Increasing the number of user defined inputs in Mach3
« on: November 01, 2023, 07:28:53 PM »
Hello,
I am installing an ATC into my system of a PDMX125 BOB with a USS attached (using both parallel ports).
All the hardware is installed and all sensors attached with ports/pins defined.

Within the Mach3 config/inputs, there is only 4 user defined inputs ie. input#1, input#2, etc...,
can this number be increased, input#5, input#6 etc..? I have already used the 4 existing inputs for other sensors.

I have a situation where I need 4 more inputs:

1) tool magazine fully opened Port 3 pin 1
2) tool magazine fully closed Port 3 pin 2
3) tool holder fully inserted into spindle port 3 pin 3
4) tool holder fully released from spindle port 3 pin 4

Somehow I need to establish a link with an input name and the port/pin for the M6 macro.
Can this relationship be established within the program or somewhere else within Mach3?
I have searched the net with no results, surely this must be a common situation!!!

Thanks for any help.
Cheers
Chris

you can also assign

OEM Trig#1 to OEM Trig#15 and use the as "normal" Inputs like Input1-4
anything is possible, just try to do it.
if you find some mistakes, in my bad bavarian english, they are yours.
