Hi there,
this is my first post in the forum, first of all I'd like to say thanks to all of you for all the useful information you've shared, it's helped me a lot so far.
I'm retrofitting an old CNC machine using a CSMIO/IP-A, consisting on 3 axis driven by servos and a 7kw spindle controlled with a mentor driver. Everything has worked like a charm until I tried to set up the spindle to stop in a given position for auto tool change. After contacting cslabs they suggested using an ENC module for this purpose so I purchased one.
Following this topic https://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php?topic=31710.50 I successfully made the spindle stop at the right position, but it keeps oscillating no matter what.
This is what I've done so far:
The spindle driver is configured to work with 10v signal which is coming from the csmio/ip-a, and has an encoder attached to the spindle with a timing belt which is connected to both the csmio/ip-a and the ENC module as well (following the advise given in the Enc module topic).
I followed the PID video from cslabs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD01YNqjmhE&ab_channel=dziabi3 ) for tunning the spindle and it should be correctly tunned (I've tried to decrease the I factor of the PID but it keeps oscillating).
Here's a video of the spindle tuning monitor where you can see the behavior while turning and when stopped:

I have tryed to increase the deadband but the spindle keeps oscillating around the fixed position, (deadband=0) oscillation are +-1mm, (deadband=50) oscillations are +-5mm, thas it has any sense to anyone?
Any idea on how to go on solving this issue would be really appreciated.

Here's a video of the actual movement of the spindle: https://youtube.com/shorts/aQ1Sf7ajUzQ
