Z axis going the oposite way it should.
« on: October 23, 2007, 08:09:34 PM »
My Z axis goes the opposite way it should, I always have to switch the values around to make the code work. Can this be fixed in Mach3 or is there something I'm doing wrong when I set up my CAM program to make the G-code?

Z- should be making the tool go deeper into the part. If you jog in a negative direction, is it going deeper? If not you can change the motor direction in config, homing and limts. Reverse the z axis.

You can reverse the axis in the Homing and Limits page, you will find it under the config menu.

If I press "page down" on the keyboard the Z axis goes up, if I press "page up" the Z-axis goes down.

Thanks, I'll check that out.

Does your spindle go up and down on your machine or your table?

Hi, mac102004

In Config, Home & Limits there is a Reversed Box for each Axis, Check it for your Z Axis.

Hope this Helps, Chip
