How to monitor the rotation speed of the spindle with Mach4 ??
« on: September 13, 2021, 07:23:46 AM »

Hello everyone.
The INDEX LED does not blink. Please tell me the solution.

I am,
The Hall IC DN6851-A is connected to the BOB input terminal (Port3 # 10).
The setting of Mach4 maps Port3 # 10 to INDEX.
You can check the On / Off of Port3 # 10, but the INDEX LED in the red frame does not blink.
Can anyone please tell me the solution?
Thanking you in advance.

Have you checked the output of the sensor with a voltmeter? The DN6851-A hall effect sensor you have used is an alternating magnetic field type. The magnetic field it sees needs to change between as least -20 mT to +20 mT. In other words, it needs to see both the North and South pole of the magnet to operate.

Hello Mr.MN300.

Yes, I confirmed with a tester.
On / Off.

And Port3 # 10 on the diagnostic tab flashes.

Please look at the photo.
Is my Mach4 setting correct?
