Can’t get macros to work
« on: April 26, 2020, 01:34:00 PM »
Hi all-

I am rebuilding my CNC flame cutter.   I switched from Mach3 to Mach4.

I am needing help with the macros to turn the solenoids on and off.

I found an example in the macro section and modified it to work.

When I use the macro editor and press the play button, it works as it should .   The solenoid turns and off .

When I save the file in my macro folder, and try to run a m201 nothing happens.   If I use m7 or m8 then it turns on the M7 an M8 indicator in mach4.

So I am doing something wrong.

Can someone help?

There are quite a few people here that can help you get your code working. Can you start by writing out a detailed functional description of how you want your solenoid to behave including any edge cases? There are a lot of ways to skin a cat in Mach 4 so you might get some varying answers. Once you do that, I'll give it a go and see what I can come up with.
