Got Vision 2448 router with old controller that use IM2000F chip.
Can I somehow use Mach3 or other soft with it?

Mach3 can drive step and direction through a parallel port or drive various motion controllers as long as the plug in is available.  If your machine has Stepper motors and drives the its not usually a problem, if its servo motors and drives then it can be more complicated as some are 0-10V analogue some a pwm and some are step and direction.

Yes it has stepped motors 2V/5,6A. I haven't found plugin.

Have you found any more information on this question? I have a Vision 2424 router with a Vision Controller 3 using the same IMS drivers. I picked up the router for $500, the machine is well built, very rigid gantry, however, the controller is all proprietary even the IMS driver boards were specifically made for Vision. The communications interface board is off the shelf it's an LC500 board using an AMD ElanSC520 microcontroller. The main controller board is all proprietary made specifically for Vision using an Altera Acex1k30 PLD System-On-a-Programable-Chip.

I've gotten fairly good at using Vision's controller software however it is limited in its applications. I'd like to add some features to my router like a touch plate and being able to control the VFD inverter by the controller and not manually, it seems it is capable of doing this as I found pins on the board to send a voltage signal to the VFD but the software does not seem to support it.

I was wanting to use Mach to interface with the controller too but I have not found any plugins to support this controller. I am thinking about getting a Pokeys board if I can't use this controller with Mach. Not sure if I will be able to use the IMS drivers with the Pokeys controller.

So let me know if you have come across any more info, I know this post is a little old but there is just not that much info out there about Vision controllers.

I'm using 2448 directly with Vectric Aspire thathas postprocessor for this machine. Just sending job to printer and turn on green button on machine.
