« on: December 26, 2019, 08:09:59 PM »

Google translate;

I've been scouring around here and other sites; and I always see people using drawer slides lying at 90 degrees from the position that they usually work in drawers ..... does anyone have an explanation for this? I ask because I have already shown in tests that using in the conventional position there is almost no clearance what occurs in the other position and tends to increase with use.

Hi Dantas,

Ideally, posts in this part of the forum should be made in English if you can.

The 'draw slides' make poor linear rails for CNC use. Linear rails which are purpose made for CNC use would be a much better investment in the long term.

Oops ... sorry. I just fear a wrong translation.
As for the statement that traction slides are bad I disagree. Of course the ones themselves are better but the investment difference is huge.
