We have a windows 10 laptop 64 bit , I found out it has a SSD, Solid State Drive, will this computer work with Mach4 and Warp9 ESS ?

Why wouldn’t it work?
Yes ssd are faster than HDD been using on the the cnc controller Mach4 ind ESS touch screen

We may go back to Mach3 this Mach4 is way over my head.
I was able to get the X Motor to make a slight sound, the Motors tab in Mach4 is beyond me as to how to get them to run.

Ron,
IMHO it would be worth the effort to get Mach4 running. Warp9 has a great how-to that'll step you right thru the process. If you've got a working machine running on Mach3 you're most of the way there.

In Mach 4 motors tab
Click check box then click the name and turn it blue then you can config the motor
