Crashing !
« on: March 12, 2019, 12:28:28 PM »
Hi Everyone.

OK, I'm new to Mach3. I have a clean 32bit Windows7 machine and have Administrator access. Having downloaded  Mach3 the first few times it crashed but I eventually got it to run, don't know how. I have set all the pins for my 5 Axis Breakout Board and when I restarted back to crashing again :(  After some more  trying I get it going again (don't know how) and run the Driver Test. The Preparation Successful screen come up and then the Take over screen, CRASH ! I tried installing the SpecialDriver but that made no difference, still crash.

I did manage to get it working once to the stage where I could manually jog but when connected to my machine it did nothing so I'm guessing the drivers just aren't there. The router does make a few clicking noises as the computer is re-booting so I think they are trying to talk to each other.

The router is all home built following the recipe on YouTube of building a CNC machine for under 900 dollars
The Breakout board is by Savebase.com

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Richard

Go into command prompt with administrator rights and paste and add the below registers.

reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" /v FeatureSettingsOverride /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f

reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" /v FeatureSettingsOverrideMask /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f

Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

That's great thanks reuelt.

I now have the machine working, all set up except the jog is very slow. I'll look for a video on it.

Now to find some CAD program that will draw gears among other things that is simple to use :)

Thanks again
