Mach 4 and ATC
« on: December 29, 2018, 03:10:48 AM »
Hello,

The Search in Forum is Broken (error message) and the google links to the forum are also all broken (maybe URL or Forum change?).

I evaluate to use Mach 4 for one of my CNC, but I can not find out weather it is possible to use the automatic tool changer with length sensor or not.
Seems there is a Script editor in "Operator" -> "Edit Scripts" -> "M6", but I am not able to find any example script for using this for a Toolchanger.

Any Tips where to start?
Has anyone got Mach 4 working with a Toolchanger?

Hi,

Mach4Hobby/LuaExamples/ToolChanger.....you will find examples. You will almost certainly have to edit/modify the code to suit
your particular machine.

Mach4s strength is its ability to be customized, to accommodate very different toolchangers for instance, but it will require you learn to code
in Lua and using Machs modular structure.

Maybe thoase boards aren't visible for me?

Forum seems to be broken in many Ways.
Also the button "Spell Check" give an error message:
2: pspell_new(): PSPELL couldn't open the dictionary. reason: No word lists can be found for the language "en".

If you mean the folder on Harddrive which comes with Mach4Hobby - there is LuaExamples, but no scripts related to M6 or Toolchange...

Hi,
yes there is....I have just been reading the four scripts in Mach4Hobby/LuaExamoles/Toolchanger....they are there.
Note these files are .mcs files (MachCodeSource) and you will need a text editor like word to read them.

The search function has been broken for about six-eight weeks. I don't know what NFS is trying to achieve with this, as far as I can tell its
just pissing everyone off! >:(

Find attached an Image of my folder.
Seems I dont have those files in the free download version - maybe you can post yours as example?

Have I done something wrong?

Hi,
don't know why your installation does not have the files, mine does.

Is there any way to contact the "professional" support?

Maybe they forgot to package it in the newest version.
At least they could fix the forum to find stuff which maybe is already solved.
But there is no answer on my mail until now...

You can use email support from the website.  They usually get back within a day.
