Mach4 + ESS CV tuning wizard problem
« on: November 26, 2018, 05:08:01 AM »
Hi,
Search in the forum does not work, write to the old forum messages, an error appears.

http://forum.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,35121.msg241239.html
I again had a problem with cv.
I made a new car, Mach4_3835+ESS+Servo HIWIN.
The maximum speed of 55,000 mm / min, acceleration of 20,000 mm / s / s.
Now installed 40,000 mm / min, acceleration 1500 mm / min (test and tuning ...).
To configure CV I use mcCvTuningWizardBeta3 . This version is recommended as the latest and there are no errors. (I can not find the topic on the forum, the search does not work.)
I have been looking for the cause of the problem for a long time and it seems that I have found it.
If the circle consists of two halves, Mach4 distorts the trajectory (Mach3 does not distort).
If the circle consists of one circle, Mach4 does not distort the trajectory (Mach3 also does not distort).
How to set up Mach4 for it to work?
Photo cut, files Gcode, settings added.

SEREGIUS,
On the CVFeedrate in machine.ini.
mcCvTuningWizardBeta3 produces high number in on the lower angles this causes issues with some CV output.
I automatically change the high numbers to a set lower value, so all the high values are reduced the same lower value.
This produces a lot better profiles down to 1mm lettering.
Give it a try.
Regards,
Mauri.

Mauri,
Better to use mcCvTuningWizardBeta3, or other Wizard?
What to change in mcCvTuningWizardBeta3 so that it produces lower speeds immediately.
I found the string [CV Feedrate]. The first 10 lines:
Angle_0=56568.000000 (The maximum speed is set to 40,000)
Angle_1=37642.000000
Angle_2=18821.000000
Angle_3=12547.000000
Angle_4=9398.000000
Angle_5=7518.000000
Angle_6=6248.000000
Angle_7=5359.000000
Angle_8=4699.000000
Angle_9=4165.000000
Angle_10=3759.000000
What speed do you recommend setting?
In machine.ini there is a line [CVBlendRadius],  what does it do?
I added a file machine.ini.

SEREGIUS,
Enter a maximum for the CV Feedrate of 1500 from Angle_0=1500 to Angle_24=1500 and see if it makes a difference.
I use HiCON and Mach4 V3804 and it cuts a circle fairly accurately.
Mach4 V3481 and V3804 both do a good circle and both of these two programs are rock solid.
Are you using R or I/J or X/Y in your G-Code?
What are you making to run your machine so fast?
Regards,
Mauri.

Mauri,
Files containing GCode posted in post number 2. 1359.TAP - no problem, 1360 - problem.
The lines of Gcode look like this:
M03
G01X60.64Y105.40
G03X60.36Y15.60I60.50J60.50
G03X60.64Y105.40I60.50J60.50
M05
I could not translate this string - (What are you making to run your machine so fast?)
Are you asking for a quick setup of a new car or a quick move? Or other?

SEREGIUS,
I was asking about your CNC machine acceleration F speeds on each axis.

Mauri.

I use the HIWIN TMH93E series rotary engines.
Now the machine cuts thick metal, I do not know how many hours are left until the end of the cut, there is no estimated test time in Mach4. Then I will try your recommendations.

Hi Mauri,
I was able to check the speed change. There are no changes in the section, there are absolutely identical circles. I launched another wizard, CV mode is on. I set the maximum speed to 500 and restarted mach4. There is no change in cut, equally curves. ((((

SEREGIUS,
If you have set a maximum speed of 500, then the CV speed of 1500 in your example posted is 3 times faster.
What are your X/Y/Z Backlash on your milling machine?
If you are using Backlash compensation on your ESS it does not work as they are still trying to fix it, so do not use it and try the circle again.

Mauri.
