Jogging
« on: March 27, 2006, 02:46:44 AM »
For some reason I cannot get my motors to jog except with Jog INC on. When jog INC is on I can make the motors move incremental or I can fast move them using ********* + arrow key. But, with jog INC off and regular jog on I cant get them to move with or without holding the shift key down. Any thoughts?

Thanks for showing me that handy screen.  ;)

Still no luck though. I tried changing slow jog% to 0,25,50,75, and 100 and still could not get it to work.

Yes..jog's green led is on. moving the arrows does nothing.

turn jog inc on also and I can press the arrow and it will move the set distance or I can press shift+arrow and it will move really fast.

with just jog on I cant get it to do anything.

I am new to this..which xml file?

I'm running Mach3 and I can't get my machine to jog. The jog toggle is turned on. I checked and I'm not in MPG mode. The DRO says the motors are moving but they aren't. This machine is new. I'm running Windows Vista operating system. Can you help please?

If the DRO is working then the motors should be moving. Typically this is a result of incorrect port and/or pin settings.
