What files are needed?
« on: September 21, 2018, 06:25:40 AM »
I have bought a machine from China which comes with Mach3. Yes I know I have said Mach4 but I have changed my mind  ;D

I have asked the company to send me the Mach3 profile they have used to test the machine.

So is it only one file like an ini. file or are there more?

Thanks
Klaus

It's just a single .xml file

Update

I can see now that if I only copy the XML file I won't get the macros with me.
Mach 3 makes a new Macro folder for each profile.

If you have custom Macros, Brains, Plugins, and Screens, then you need to copy those as well, plus the images for the screen in the BMP folder.

But all of your settings are in the .xml file.

You can copy the entire Mach3 folder, then, on a new PC, run the installer, and when it's finished, copy your old folder right over it.
