Lathe wizard scripts
« on: January 27, 2018, 11:25:06 PM »
I'm trying to find the scripts for the lathe wizards by Mach Motion.
Close as I can get is a file with ESCLuaR .. and that is all.
Are they somehow hidden, locked and protected ?
Thanks,
Russ

Hi,
don't know about wizards but what about:
Mach4Hobby\Modules\AddOns\LatheCannedCycles

They are complied so you cant really see whats in them. I assume these sre the little suckers I'm having trouble loading from time to time.

Yup, that is where I was looking ... among other places.

On another point. I finally saw a popup when trying to restart after an attempted shutdown.
"Correct unload script error then restart"
Only saw it once.

I didn't have any luck finding those scripts either.  I wanted to tweak a couple of things.

Hi,
I think what you guys are calling Wizards are in fact included in this module.
Modules are complied, you can't tweak it. You could write your own...

You mentioned "compiled" earlier.
If you write your own module, then compile it, can you un-compile it to edit it ? (must assume so)
Would it be password protected ? or what is the process ?
Thanks Craig,

Hi,
no, you cannot by and large de-compile. In order to edit your code you need the source code, you edit it
and then a new 'compiled' version is made. Without the source code you can do nothing.

If you were writing a wizard for Mach4 to sell  you would not give your customers the source code,
just the compiled or executable code.

You might ask NFS for the source, I suspect they consider it proprietary code in which case they'll say no.

Hi,
I have been told you can use the very rare substance 'Unobtainium' to de-compile code. LOL

Yeah.  Especially since MachMotion did the programming for the code.

That's exactly as I suspected. MachMotion contributed those. I'm sure they would have a say in it as well.
Thanks Craig, I learn a little each day.
It's fun, thanks for your time.
