Backlash Enable causing stalling
« on: April 13, 2017, 04:24:14 AM »
Hello, I have measured my -0.334mm backlash on my X axis and am trying to use mach3 backlash compensation to correct for it.But when the X axis takes up any backlash it causes Y axis in motion to stall. When the speed is 700-1000mm/m it is okey, above 1000mm/m stall is come up.
Here is the speciality :
X axis 12Nm 48Volt 6A----1/10microstep---Driven-by Rack and pinion---Backlash(-0.334mm)-
Yaxis 4.5Nm 48Volt 6A----1/10microstep---Driven-by ballscrew---Zero backlash
Z axis 12Nm 48Volt 6A ----1/10microstep---Driven-by ballscrew---Zero backlash

Breakboard: Akz250 motion card
PC: 2.6Ghz dual core 3gb Ram
Mach3 Settings: 25000Hz Kernel Backlash speed 1-100%(I tryed all speed) Shuttle Accel 0.05(Alzo tryed between 1-0,005) CV mode on (ES is crap) CV control all off.

I also follow Hoss' instuctions video.Still causes it to stall the steppers.

Does anyone know solution or have a suggestions?

Thanks
Alper

If I had to guess, I'd say that the problem is with your chinese motion controller.
Contact the manufacturer for an updated plugin, or ask if they even support backlash comp in their plugin.
