Mach4 probe setup and use
« on: June 25, 2016, 09:46:32 AM »
Does anyone know where I can get information about calibrating and us sing a probe in mach4? Is there a place to enter the information about the probe tip?

In the probing tab there is a calibration tab. Calibrate XY offset I think is what your looking for. In all of the probing pages there are help buttons. Each different help button displays different information.

Alternately, you could install the prerelease mentioned here http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,27039.msg227697.html#msg227697 and give the new touchoff module a go.

There aren't any docs to speak of for the module yet but hovering over elements (buttons, input fields, descriptions, etc.) in the touchoff gui shows tooltips that pretty much cover everything.

;D If you could see the things I have in my head, you would be laughing too. ;D

Same here a new virgin install of the pre release Mach4 and the 185 ESS working fine here on windows 10 Pro

Reading back through the posts above it looks like its a problem with the sim plugin which I have not tried so I cannot comment

Stuart

FYI this is a new controls fit consisting of a ESS and C25 because the ( Leafboy card was doing some funny things )
