New to MACH - not 'new' to cnc - HELP! - need info
« on: May 05, 2007, 05:59:00 PM »
Hi! I'm Daveman. I've been in the sign business for 15 years, and have been using cnc (big Precix unit) for the last seven years. I design in Enroute. Last year I bought a Debece DTR 250-S cnc machine. Pretty well built - especially for the $$. But the base DOS communication software is very primative. There is little support here in the states (it would help if I spoke German, but hey?) Is anyone out there using MACH to control a Debece cnc machine? I apologise in advance for being a bit dumb about these topics, but I really haven't had time (or opportunity) to ask this question until I found the MACH website. Should I buy the software and get with it? Who has gone this route with Debece? Thanks sooo' much for 'any' direction and help that you can give me. I'm pretty familiar with the things that I do with cnc (see www.allsignsletters.com) but I'm a babe in the woods with things like this. Many Thanks in Advance, Daveman

Looking at there web site I see no reason why Mach3 won't run the machine, all you would need to know is the pin out on the printer cable connection.

The current software should tell you all of this.

Graham.
