Shift arrow jogging done here everyday the plasma machine runs. No problems here and I have  NEVER heard of it OTHER than with a plugin based controller/pendant.

It happens when you leave it in step mode and hit shift and an arrow key.

OK I just tested it again . Same thing it follows all functions exactly. Set for Step JOg and each arrow down jogs the step. Prees shift and it runs in Cont just as it should any combination of press hold with Shift and arrow works fine. ????

Now that is Version v.062 running the LPT driver. NO plugins active.

NOW just a note, SOME pc's /keyboards have a weird repeat feature THAT CAN cause what you are seeing. Normally you can turn it off , sometimes you cannot.  SOme Remote keyboards(wireless) can do that IF the batteries run LOW.

Version R3.043.022 - PP

Can't make it happen here. Works perfectly.

Yea, it must be a plugin thing. I'm using ESS on the mill. I've taught myself to be sure I'm out of step mode before making any fast moves :)

I do have a pendant.  IIRC it's a problem on the other machine I have too, which does not have a pendant hooked up to it.

Runaway has been a problem for a LONG while now. I always use the keyboard for input, so it has bit me many times. It bothers me so much, I will not let anybody run the machine, unless it's just **open vise, change part, hit GO button. Rinse. Repeat.** I HATE this bug. http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,24665.10.html

Ok looked at the old post Sam linked to and tried it out and indeed it does continue if you release the shift first but only if  in  Step mode.

Can someone with the PP also try that to see if it also happens with it or whether it is just external devices?
