« on: February 02, 2015, 08:25:36 PM »
My mouse stops working when my mill is cutting. If I leave the CNC table disconnected and run the program the mouse doesn't lock up,when I plug the table in and run it the mouse stops working until machine has finished its run. I am running XP PRO 32 bit SP3, CPU Intel core 2 Duo 2.66GHZ, Ram 1.0 GB, video card is GE FORCE 210 1.0 GB. I have tried everything can some one please advise me? My CNC is a TONSEN 3040C H80 with stepper motors and DC spindle cable drive.

Thanks in advance.
Mick :)

I would suggest you not play with your mouse when running a program as Mach shares time with windows.
Also suggest a not using a wireless mouse.

Just my opinion......,

Your CNC table is emitting EMI and the wireless mouse receiver is receiving the EMI noise signal with the mouse signals and getting confused, the mouse driver(s) are locking up.

Mick1969,
Don't play with your mouse even if USB connected. Same reason as reply #1.

sebashtionh,

Some folks have no problems with a wireless mouse. I have had problems with a wireless at times depending on what I was doing.
Never a problem with direct connected. Reply #2 is just one example of what can happen, ie; something can interfere with the mouse receiver.
I don't play with my mouse as others do when running a program! Leave it alone. Same can happen with a wireless keyboard.

Remember that you are running a machine and want as solid as possible a connection to control it.

Just my opinion,

RICH
