XML FILE WONT LOAD
« on: January 25, 2015, 04:38:16 AM »
1st Question on forum ???

I'm tying to load my router profile to a new PC , i have the licence working but when I load the profile & try to open it with the profile loader,  I get the base screen with the file , config headers ect  but no operation screens ?
if i look at the ports & pins the profile  looks correct
i change the extension to xml & place it in the C/:Mach3 folder & removed all xml files from the xml folder, i have tried several times but still cant get it to work
Any help would be appreciated

Rick

Sounds like you may have had a custom screenset loaded in that xml.
Go to View menu then Load Screens then choose the 1024.set or whatever from the Mach3 folder.

Make sure the name of the .xml doesn't have any spaces in it, or it won't work from a desktop shortcut.

Ok now sorted,as Hood suggested load screen , as I was going from R2.63 the later version didnt have that screen set
Loaded the 1024.set & its now working
1 more question can I load that screen set to the old version just to keep them looking the same ?

Thanks for the help

You can load any screen into Mach as long as it is a Mach compatible screen.
Where you may hit snags is features have been added through the versions for such things as Image buttons and LEDs.
I do not think the standard screenset uses them though, so you should be ok.
