tool consumption

let's say that we have a tool that it changes its length or radius (grinding wheel ) so how cuold we modify these parameters  also this happens while working
i guess by formula like
f(z)= z       z>0
       z-c*t   z<0
c  constant of consumption rate
t  is working time
is this wright and how to write some thing like this in mach3 fomulas

No way that I know of to do it and it be correct. Wear is NOT a linear value. Best setup a probe and actually MEASURE the wear.

Just a thought, (;-) TP

i think first of all to measure the tool by auto tool zero every time then active the formula
the in-correction will come from the time spent in jug motion so if there is some way to isolate this time it will be very correct
