bending machine with Mach3 using Cs lab materials with glass scales

I'd like to rest my metal bending machine with Mach3 using Cs lab materials.
To determine the exact depth (hydraulic cylinders) I thought of a (special kind?) Glass scales to place that provides feedback to Mach3 that the depth is always exactly see link

Anyone have an idea how I can fix this and what materials I can use. Or a pokey 57 recommended ...
grtz

I do not really understand what you are asking.
You will be using the scale for feedback but what do you need from that feedback? If it is simply a reading in Mach then that is not a problem, however it sounds like you are wanting to do more ?
