All was working well when bang my controler gave up, I have bought a gecko 540 and have wire it up using all new wire and conectors. can anyone help I have power to motors and I can get DRO's to move in mach but I can't get the motors to run. It seems like no signal. This is my work so I need it up and running asp.
Many thanks

Could be many things, if you have not changed anything in Mach then it is most likely a wiring issue or possibly your port is damaged.
Check the voltages coming out of the Dir pins when you jog back and forth to see if they are working.

I suspect you may not have your port&pins set up correctly for the G540. You can download one that is pre configured from Gecko, you will still need to do the motor tuning.

Sounds like your Z Dir connection, and possibly also the Step connection, is faulty/loose.
