Mdi question
«

Hi all, quick question. When I input say, X2 F10 I was expecting to move 2 in X at a feed of 10. I get the email expected 2 in X but feed rate does not change. What am I doing wrong?

You may be still in the modal G0.
Enter G1 X2 F10 and see what you get.
G1 is modal also.
Just a guess,

Thanks. I bet that is it because I swear it worked for me in the past. Is there a proper entry method to be sure it always works? If both are modal, do I just toggle it each time?

Unless I'm absolutely sure which is active, I will include it every time when MDIing.

I do it as Russ does too, if hand coding line by line it is always a G0 or G1.
