« on: March 01, 2014, 01:54:59 PM »
Hi,

I'm having problems with my cnc3040 and VCarve pro 6.

When I do a pocket with a word in it so the first 0.5mm is ok but when it will start on 1.0mm layer so the letters are about 0,5mm to the right or left.

All setting are like the should be and nothing is loose on the machine!

Can some on please help me whit this and give mi some goood tips!!!

Thomas

Looks like you are losing steps on X axis. Reduce the Vel and Acccel on that axis and see if it helps. Also check for binding in that axis.

Hi.....

I'm getting crazy... ;)

When I'm doing a pocket that is 120mm x 70mm it is okay I have less acc on X.

But when im doing a pocket with a text soit looks like this

And the settings i Have is
X 400 2000 160
Y 400 2000 200
Z 400 700  100

What is wrong? is it the Feed rate or plunge rate? Or something else??

Thanks!!!!!

Have you checked for binding in the axis? Have you tried reducing accel and Vel?

You would seem to be losing steps in the X axis so if reducing the accel/vel does not help and you have checked that there is no binding in that axis then the next thing to try is swapping drives around.

I mean try swapping the stepper drive on X axis with the one on Y axis. If the problem stays with X then the drive is not the problem.
