Mach3 no longer controlling machine.
« on: February 15, 2014, 11:59:12 PM »
So I did some cutting last week.  Shut everything down as usual and walked outmost the shop. Walked back in today. Fired everything up and nothing. Can't jog with the keyboard, mouse, or mpg. The screen/dro shows everything moving but the maching is doing nothing. Timer is counting. I have a freq.  I'm kind of lost. Anyone have any idea what it could be??   Thanks in advance for any help.

Is there power to the drives and motors?

Yup control box is running and all the motors are live. Touch prob lights up and sends signal in diagnostics. I swapped out the pp cable. Uninstalled mach3 and reinstalled. Nothing.

I dont see anything wrong with your xml, assuming of course the correct port and pins are set.
If you look on the Diagnostics page do you see a Time in Int and a Frequency and is the Frequency close to the kernel you have set?

If you have a scope you can see if the pulses are coming out of the port, if no scope but a volt meter you could still check at least to see if Dir signals are coming out.

Yes, you can remove the cable and check the Dir pin to Gnd pin and jog that axis back and forth and see if you get a change from 5v to 0v. You will likely have to change the active state of the E-Stop in Ports and Pins, Inputs so that you can get Mach out of Reset for the testing.
