Should the IP/S sink current in the active low state?
« on: September 06, 2013, 10:28:22 PM »
The opto 22 output modules I was hoping to use are activated when current can flow from the opto22 logic control pin to logic ground.  Can the IP/S output pins sink current when in the active low state?  If not, what does happen in active low?  It only needs to be able to sink 12 mA.

Thanks,

Bill

I do not think you can sink with the CSMIO outputs.

I got a reply from the CS-Lab folks who continue to be helpful.  You're right.  With the opto 22 relays I have, it would be possible to use their +24V out to control the Opto relays, but the mounting board I have doesn't allow access to the appropriate pin.  I have G1 modules and a PB16T mounting rack.  Looking for an appropriate rack if one exists.

Thanks for your reply!
