Limit switches
« on: July 02, 2013, 08:32:36 PM »
Just hooked up limit switches to my bob and when I press a limit switch I get 5 volts. I do not see anything happening in Mach 3 . I have a c33 bob, a smoothstepper usb, what am I missing?

From what I read. When you close the circuit you apply +5V to the input pin of your BOB ?
Many BOB input pins must have the input pin Grounded (0V) to work.
Best regards, Bo Andersen.

should I understand your switches are NC wired and when you press them the circuit is opened
this is OK but did you set the mach3 properly? I mean "Ports & Pins/Input Signals" - port number, pin number etc?

There is plenty to understand there! Is there something in particular you are having an issue with or difficulty comprehending?
