using servos with mach3 (which breakout board)
« on: June 14, 2013, 06:53:53 PM »
hi, i want to convert my milltronics mill to newer controls.

i have 100v 7v/ per 1krpm servos
i have the westamp servo drives

the servos use 10v+- analog innput.  what do i use for a break out board. most use step / dir
or do i need a new servo drive that supports step / dir?

thanks

You can go with new servo drives, go with a motion controller such as the DSPMC, Kflop with Kanalog cards, or one of the CS-labs products that supports analog output or try to get a set of step and direction to analog converters,
