IBM T60 Laptop Compatibility
« on: February 16, 2007, 05:22:57 AM »
Hi All,

I've read many post regarding laptop incompatibility with Mach but...
I would like to know if the following configuration would work with Mach3

IBM Thinkpad T60
Intel Core Duo Processor: T2400 1.83GHz
RAM: 1GB DDR2
Hitachi 60 GB Serial ATA
Video Card: Intel 950 Graphics card

Many thanx,
Jonathan

Download Mach and run the drive test, if it looks good then the chances are it will work fine.
BTW I presume there is a parallel port in the laptop or are you planning on using a pod or Galil or ........?.

I already have Mach3 running on my ThinkPad T40 (Pentium M 1.3GHz).  It's dog slow  with drivertest reading somewhere at 800Hz no where near the 25000 desire.

I'm just hopping someone Core Duo is running Mach3 can chime in before I put $1K down on the laptop.

Ahhhh sorry, thought you already had it. Can you not build yourself a cheap desktop?
