Youtube videos insertion

Hi all,
How do you link to a youtube video so that an image of the video accompanies the link for playing, and not just a url link.
Thanks for a quick answer. I'm sure it must be simple.

I see quite a few of these playable image youtube videos diplayed throughout the forum, and many more with just the URL. What's the trick?
I've searched for help, but none of the solutions (so far) from the web seem to work.

You can embed with the link youtube gives you, if you look at your video then click on the hare button then embed button you will get the address, you can then just paste that into the post, at least thats how I think its done, will soon find out as I am just away to try

I know things keep changin', but I'll try some more things. I have some test posts in the VIDEOS section here, but I'm not having any luck either.

You did it... but I just got a empty white box again. What did you do differently?
first I just posted the embed code. which you see above,
The white box I got by selecting "insert flash" button and then placing the embed code into it.
