8020 CNC Router

Hello Guys
I have started another thread of me having trouble make the machine move. We are trying to figure it out what is wrong but in the meantime I will start this post to show my machine building process.  Maybe I will be able to help somebody with the build problems.
Here is the photo of rail I have use for my machine. I've purchased those from eBay. Recycled ones :-)

To cut the aluminum extrusions to the closest measurement as possible , first I set up a wooden stop block and then I cut a piece of wood and measure from block to the cut . If something were off a little I used a hammer to hit the stop block.

I've used my miter saw to cut the extrusions. Below is the picture of the saw and blade I used. Also I include a video showing how smooth was the cutting process :-)

Click on the picture below to see the video

All cut pieces

What is nice about 8020 aluminum extrusion is that you can purchased the profile with grooves which later on help you a lot to align the pieces together

Below I show you how I make my feet :-)

Main frame assembled

Ballscrews mounted

Machine feet mounted

Here I machined plates that will be used to connect ballscrews to gantry bottom plate

Z axis plate machined and mounted

Z axis actuator mounted

Not a best picture but this is bosch router mount

These are gantry side plates that holds everything together

And time to show my control box. I receive the box for free :-) and assembled everything myself

Fuses for each axis driver

I have not used these motors but I did use the dumpers

I will put more photos of the machine soon. But now I'm kind of busy with troubleshooting

Very cool, thanks for sharing.

Who made the router mount, and what model Bosch does it hold?

Thanks,
Dave
