galilcables/connectors

Does anyone know of a supplier for the Amp 2-5175677-9 100 pin connector?  I have decided that you can grow old waiting for a cable to show up on ebay.  About a third of the ICM-1900 and ICM-2900 modules have cables with them..  There must be a lot of cables being thrown away out there.

I searched the world over and there is one and only one supplier for this connector:  Online Components out of Nevada.  They charge $33.72 for what should be an $18-20 part.  At that kind of price,  it makes more sense to byte the bullet and pay the price for a cable direct from Galil.

3M makes a similar Mind D connector that sells for less than $14.  Only catch is that it requires a $4500 press fixture to install it on the cable.

Maybe this is a battle that just can't be won.

Sounds like you have probably checked with Allied and Newark already.  I doubt the prices wouldn't be any better if they can get them.

We never have the time or money to do it right the first time, but we somehow manage to do it twice and then spend the money to get it right.

Thanks for the tip, but it won't work.  Bought one, but it only had 40 wires in it and few of those were ones that I need.  Mostly down at the big end where the aux encoder connections live.

You might also want to search for KVAL cable once in a while. I just got one for $75.
