Using an on screen button to change a port and pin setting
« on: October 08, 2012, 04:38:52 PM »
Hello,

Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I am trying to implement a button on the standard Mach 3 screenset, that changes the active hi state of the probe input.  I have a probe and a tool height sensor that are sharing an input.  One of them acts as an NC switch, and the other as a NO switch.  As opposed to going into ports and pins to change the pin active state of the probe in anytime I want to switch probe function, I am curious if I can add a button to the Program Run screen to accomplish this repeated task.  Is this possible, and can someone point me in the right direction to implement it?

Thanks.

I do not know of an easy way to do it BUT would it not be simpler to just change the state of the signal on the tool height setter so that both the probe and setter are the same?
