Using port 3 as generic IO
« on: August 01, 2012, 09:11:13 AM »
I want to use pins 1A, 1B and 1I (1, 2 and 3) as generic TTL inputs. How are these ports setup? High? Low? Do they have a corresponding pull up/down resistor? The lack of proper documentation can be frustrating at times.

Thanks!

They are just like any other input. Use them as Port 3 Pin 1, Port 3 Pin 2, Port 3 Pin 3 in Mach. They are pulled up like most other inputs on the SmoothStepper.
