home switches
« on: December 15, 2006, 06:47:10 PM »
Hi, I am new and just finished my desktop machine using a board from hobby cnc with an e stop addition, my limit switches are nc in series and by checking one of the axis in the pins input screen they work fine triggering an e stop, my home switches are nc hooked up individually to their own pin and activated in the above screen, when I manually push the home switches with the axis moving, nothing happens, the motor continues on. What am I missing? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Double check to make sure you have the correct pins and also the correct port entered into the Input pins page, oh and also make sure they are enabled ;)

Oh, have just read again, are you actually doing a homing move when you manually press these switches? if not then that is probably your problem as I thinkĀ  Mach will only look atĀ  them when you are homing.
