G100 Plugin Status Update
« on: December 12, 2006, 11:55:18 PM »
I got my limit switches working and still crashes the axises!
any idea when this will be fixed???????
or should just plan on parallel port setup for now?

When the system is homing it  works fine.
Once homed ,
if you jog any axis manually
It will overshoot and crash the axis
So the safe limits need fixing!
I can do without the softlimits but need safelimits!

Thanks for the good work

Soft limits do not work on the g100 yet. Travel limits do work (limit switches). These are only there to cause an estop when they are hit, they don't limit the travel that is what soft limits do.

So i need to have a second set of switches setup to cause an estop to keep this from happening
Is there a trick i can use to have the home switches function as the travel limits
the limit switches im using are optical

Yes just asign the home and the limit that you would like to use the same pin number. Mach is smart enough to know when it is homing and use that as a home and all other times if it hits it will trigger a limit.
