gcode G00 Y -40

hi, can anyone help please all my g code start with G00 Y -40  even when iam try to wrihe small name within 2 cm square ?   why gcode go too big G00 Y -40, thank you

thanks for reply i typed letter  in artcam  and try to make small  name necklace   and transfer to gcode through artcam and put in mach3  i became very big G00 Y -40  .

Looks like your drawing in ArtCAM may be too big, either that or you need to do some scaling. Afraid I am not familiar with  ArtCAM so cant really advise :(

If the G00 Y-40 is the first move in the G-code, then it sounds like your part is set up in ArtCam 40 units on the Y axis from zero origin.  If that's the case, when you zero the DRO's in Mach and run the part, then the first move would be a rapid move to where the part is oriented in ArtCam.

you are using the wrong post processor if that's the first line of code output.
Which post are you selecting in ArtCam

thanks for your answers  i got problem after i put the name into toolpath coz the letter abit small its me i dont know how to chose right tool i will learn but i need more information thanks
