Dont use OEM triggers for jogging, there are specific Inputs for them, just enter Port 10 and Pin whatever you have the switch connected to on the PoKeys.

Ha ha well I have looked and you seem to have them set right. Can't test though as I thought I had the PoKeys here but it must be in the workshop, will try and remember it tomorrow.

Just tried emulating the inputs and they are working fine so maybe it is a plugin or pokeys issue, wont know until I can test it out.
Curious though, I see you have MPGs, do you not use them for jogging? I never use anything else, have a rotary to switch betwen Velocity mode and MultiStep mode and thats all I ever use.

I use two rotary encoders but they are connected directly to the SS and they both work together so its just like a manual lathe. ;D

I haven't tried emulating but guess they would work Ok they are acting like latching switches rather than push to make when using Pokeys using all the latest program and plugin if your watching Boris

phil,

Jogging from other than the physical keys will be an issue for you.  UNLESS....  if you bring in an input that represents jogging to an ULED, you will have to build a Brain, OR, macro pump, that when the LED is ON you jog this or that axis this or that way, and when it is off you stop the jogging.  You have to tell mach to STOP jogging once jogging is started from anyother source than the keyboards.  The Brain has both start and stop jogging functions that you will need to set up the logic based on your inputs to start and stop the jog.

I was always under the impression that the Inputs for Jogging were to allow the use of momentary buttons, I have just tried this by setting up the external jog X to pin 11 on port 1 of the SS and shorted the pins and it jogs, release and it stops. Why would that not work with the PoKeys if it was set as a digital input?

Phil
just got the PoKeys hooked up, the plugin I have here is an old one so will download and test with the latest. However when I put a momentary switch on Pin 1 of pokeys and set it up as Jog X++ it works exactly as it should. Will let you know how I get on with the latest plugin and software.
