DXF Lazycam problem
« on: January 18, 2010, 10:02:52 PM »
I'm new to CAD/CAM and am having a problem loading dxf files to lazycam.  I create simple 3d drawings by extrusion but when I export them to lazycam they become 2d drawings which can't be used by Mach3. I've tried saving in different file formats but to no avail. Any suggestions?

dtrade,
LC is 2D so save the drawing as a 2D  version 12 dxf for import into LC.

That's your problem. Create 2D drawings, and as Rich said, export as v12 .dxf
