Hi can anyone tell me if a 100 count encoder could be used with a 200 step motor in Mach3 ?
Is there anyway to correlate the encoder count to the step pulses or step output?
Is there a scaling setting in Mach3 for this?
Thanks Bob

That should work fine
There are a few people that are doing this and I think that is about the encoder count that they are running...
Thanks

Hi Brian thanks for replying so if I were running my steppers in half step 400 steps/rev would I set the ( counts/unit ) setting under the encoder/mpg tab in the ports&pins config dialog to 4 counts/unit?
