Screen display when maximised?
« on: September 19, 2006, 12:39:19 AM »
It would seem that Mach does not follow the windows convention of
allowing for the bottom toolbar when maximised.

Do I have this right or am I missing some basic setting?

Mostly noticable for me when using wizards as the buttons along the bottom of
screen are partialy hidden behind the windows tool bar.

I have tried this at other screen resolutions.

Am I doing something really dumb??? ;D

EDIT: Should add that this has been the same on all upgrades I have tried so far.

Go into config menu and then depending on the version of Mach it will be under either General Config or possibly State, look for the Auto Screen Enlarge setting and check it. Mach screen should then reduce/enlarge to suit your screen.

Yeah I had that set (and tried without).

That setting just starts the program with screen maximised I believe.

My problem is that part of the screen is hidden behind the standard windows tool bar.

Try loading a different screenset, you will find them under the view menu, just browse to the Mach folder and choose a different one and see what happens.

Hood do you mean there are alt screen sets already in my Mach3 folder (standard instalation)

Or do you mean I should download another screen set from the Mach website?

I was meaning some of the other screensets in Mach. They should all be the same but I was thinking possibly the screen set you were using was corrupt so I suggested you try another just to see if it shows OK. However I now see you have posted a pic of the screen, I think that is from the NewFangled conversational. I dont have that so cant say whether its normal or not, sorry, maybe Brian will come in on this and help you out.

Yes Brian I did try that and also without that checked.

I have been checking through the wizards and it is your exellent newfangled set and a few
of the others where it is a problem. The "Write" wizard is the worst.

The Mach screens are OK, that may be just that they don't have any buttons right at the bottom.

Hi, Greolt

This is a work around, go to Start, Control Panel, Display, Settings, change your Screen Resolution to 1152 by 864, Apply, OK, close control panel.

Mach3, Un-check the Auto Screen Enlarge, Restart mach3, this will give you a border on bottom and right side of screen, it reduces your view but will let you see all your Button's.

That's what I'm do-ing

Just a thought, Chip
