Spindle off
« on: December 31, 2009, 03:33:53 PM »
Have a spindle off button on my bridgeport. Made a brain using its input (input 31) and terminates to "button press" "spindle off". It works fine but it also turns the spindle on which I don't want. Tried a few variations in the brain commands but on/off is as good as I can achieve.  Is there another way?
Thanks, RonO

Going to try to do this with a macropump.

You can use a multiple input lobe and use the spindle on led as a second input to this lobe. This should be an and function lobe.
When the spindle on LED is off nothing gets out but if the spindle is on, the spindle off button press happens.

Sounds good but I don't have the time to try it out.
Let me know if this works,

Mike
We never have the time or money to do it right the first time, but we somehow manage to do it twice and then spend the money to get it right.
