Config files for Mach3 -->Back-Up Files
« on: September 05, 2006, 08:38:42 AM »
Hello,

Finally purchased Mach3.  Since I am very new to the configuration of Mach3 and the files that affect the way Mach3 runs and is configured I would like to back-up ALL the files that Mach3 uses for my set-up.  Since I final have everything working correctly for my Boss5, I don’t want to go through the configuration / set-up again.

A list of all these files would really be great.

Thanks,

Pete W.

The .xml file found in the mach folder holds your configuration.
Id suggest backing up the whole mach folder though.

....
Would this be the only file needed to back-up if I were to change parameters such that
Mach3 will work with a different driver control?

So, I would be able to just make a batch file to rename this file accordingly when using a different driver controls?

If you have special M codes and macropump files (which I now you do) you also need your profile folder.
It will be in the Mach 3 directory and have the same name as your *.xml file.
